Keesh Inspiration challenge #3

I just love Keesh's weekly challenges! Boy was this one a challenge! I went with the inspiration from the colours, and I have taken over 20 photos of my card, and these colours just keep looking washed out grrrr. Anyway, the photo I have gone with is the best of the lot. The colours I was inspired to use was Ruby red, Taken with teal, Brocade Blue, and sage shadow (as I see a bit of a green flower in the back). I used the greeting from LIve your dreams, and the flower stamp is from scribble this! I also used my cuttlebug machine on the main base of the card. Anyway hope you like my card, I will try and take a better pic later....I even sat in the sunlight trying to get a better pic, so frustrating when your picture doesn capture the real colour!

Take a pic Saturday #1

Well once again the marvelous Keesh has inspired me, she has started Take a pic Tuesday! Basically she takes a pic every tuesday and then on Saturdays the pic she has taken she will scrapbook! SO by the end of the year Keesh will have hopefully a couple of full scrapbook albums. I loved this idea so much I had to do it too, I am calling mine take a pic Saturday lol. And at somestage before next Saturday I will have a scrapbook page done with this pic. Now I didnt actually take this pic today, it was taken on Monday at Eastern Beach in Geelong, I loved this pic sooo sooo much had to use it as my first one. It is my husband Paul, with our youngest son Jaxson, in the background is our 5yr son Macauly. Isnt it just the most adorable pic? I think so anyway. So in the next couple of days I will scrapbook it and show it t you again.
Hope your all having a great long weekend. Check out my blog again tomorrow as I will be loading my card for Keesh's latest Inspiration Challenge.

2009 Calender (Afternoon Tea DSP)

I had so much fun making this calender today, I first seen this on my good friend Ashley's Blog, and then followed the link to This blog for the tutorial from Nancy Morgan. It is super easy and lots of fun. I used the Afternoon tea DSP from the summer mini! the stamp i used is from Baroque motifs. This is how it looks when you stand it on your desk or wherever.

These two are the inside which you take the ribbon out, and well i changed the colour ribbone and then flipped it over for the next 6 months. How cool is this!
You can't tell from the pic, but each rhinestone in the middle of the baroque flower matches its colour! And since we dont have brown rhinestones, i used one clear one from the pretties kit. Hope you like, you should all give it a go, its one of the easiest things i have made!

Kids Craft Class

Hey Im backkkk! Tomorrow Im doing my first ever kids class with 6 8 year old girls. The first project we are making is the card folder that we learnt at Melbourne Stampin' up! regionals in November last year. I have changed the colours and stamps to suit younger girls.

This is the card folder

This is what it looks like open, the girls will be making 3 mini cards, and decorating the mini enveloped to keep in the folder.

This card was made by the very talented Yvonne Campbell and I have decided to case it, but change the colours to suit young girls.

And here it is in the colours I made it with for tomorrows class.
Anyway, glad to be back in blogging land and look forward to making lots this year. I will be doing a card class with the summer mini catalogue the end of january so let me know if your interested. I will also in february be holding a calender making class. So just email me if your interested in either of those classes.
Kristy xoxo
