MDU DT And.........

For this weeks MDU DT I have mixed it with some other challenges, so the challenge at Magnolia Down Under (MDU) is Recipe = 1 flower, 2 ribbons, 3 brads and 4 papers and of course a Magnolia stamp, then Just Magnolia's challenge is ribbons and bows and again you have to have a magnolia image then I used Friday sketch's blog for my LO. So anyway this week I decided instead of a card I would do a 8x8 scrapbook page for all 3 challenges YAY any excuse to get some scrapbooking done. The picture is of my gorgeous daughter as a flower girl in her Aunty's wedding this year in May, that is why I used the wedding cake magnolia stamp with this page. Anyway Hope your all having a fun weekend!

OOh I almost forgot to mention the good news Over at Magnolia Down Under we now have a regular sponsor for every fortnightly challenge YIPPPEEE so that means prizes for you to win by entering. WHOO Hooo. So pop on over to MDU the challenge the latest challenge was just loaded today and you have 2 whole weeks to complete an entry YAY.

Kellie's Sketch Challenge #2

Well I sure do like getting my challenges done right before they end hehehh. Actually I had this card finished on Friday, but just really was not overly happy with it. I just hate when you picture your card and it doesn't turn out that way, so very frustrating. So I have been fighting with my critical demons as to whether I should enter it or not lol, cause its kinda plain Jane. Anyway I decided to enter and promise to do a totally awesome card for Kellie's next sketch challenge. Anyway hope everyone is having a great weekend, make sure you have a lazy Sunday tomorrow! I plan to create create create!

OOh getting this in by the skin of my nose!! Is that the saying?? Anyway the challenge finishes tonight at midnight I wanted to finish it while it was still daylight! When i first saw this sketch last week I knew exactly what stamp and dsp I wanted to use and had a vision of how my card would look, well dont you just hate when your card looks nothing like how you envisioned it!! Anyway pop over to Keesh's blog to see all the amazing creations with this sketch, the new challenge will go up tomorrow on her blog. Below is the sketch and then my card. Im loving the pink flamingo DSP its sooo gorgeous. The scalloped oval edge is the KELL SCALLOP heheh she has a tutorial on her blog how to do it, which i didnt bother looking up before i tried and well its a little wonky i will say it has character. So anyway hope you all like my card, I need to get busy this weekend and work on some DT cards as well as go to a 6th birthday and an engagement party and play date eeek!!

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #11

Whoo hoo I have made this card just in time!!! YAY. This weeks colours were a challenge but now I actually like them :) And I used a rose is a rose stamp set which you probably wouldnt expect to use with these colours, but I quite like it. I call this card my simple simplcity lol. As some of you may have noticed I am loving my white gel pen thanks Kell for that addiction heheh Kell always makes the most gorgeous cards with her gel pen stitching! Its my Mums birthday next week Wednesday and I am thinking this would be a beautiful card, most of you know My mum died almost 3 years ago when she was 53, but there is nothing saying you cant still make your mum or dad birthday cards just because they are no longer with us. One mothers day after my mum died I made a card and wrote in it but kept it for myself. It just kinda feels nice to make somethine for them. So anyway here are the colours for the latest Inkspiration challenge and below that is my card. Hope you like.

Stamp Camp!

A couple of weeks ago I went to stamp camp that was organised by the lovely Yvonne Campbell! It was held at Sunnystones in Bacchus Marsh so not too far for me heheh. Here are 5 of the cards I made! It was such a fun weekend, not only were we creating some of us woulod read our books in the lounge with the fire place, we played my twilight board game heheh and the funnest of all singstar until 5.30am!!! So much fun well maybe not for those who were sleeping but fun for us that were singing heheh. Anyway such an awesome weekend, I have not looked back ever since joining SU in April 2008!! Having the time of my life and just love all the friendships I have made. If you think your interested in Joining you can email me on

So anyway this week it is a sketch which I just loved as soon as I saw it. So here is the sketch and below is my card.

All products are from the current spring mini catalogue, I'm loving this stamp set called tree trimmings and these papers SO BEAUTIFUL. I had a class at home yesterday and had customers asking if i can make up a stamping kit, so stay tuned as I will be making my first ever Kit with this stamp set and papers plus other stuff too. Scrapbook page for a Friend

Hey All! Hope everyone is having a good weekend, I have had a lazy day today just lovely. Tomorrow I have a busy day and a class in the afternoon. I wanted to share with you a LO I made lastnight for my sister Susannah's sister in law. This is Sandra she was hit by a car in April this year and Killed, I still cant believe it, she was just the most beautiful girl and had the sweetest kindest personality. She was 11 years old its just so sad. I never got around to sending a card or flowers and just felt horrible and the funeral was when I was at Stampin Up convention so I asked my sister to print the most recent pic of Sandra so i can make a scrapbook page. I am going to take this to a custom framing place in Bacchus Marsh and get a nice white frame for it and then I will post it to Sandra's Mum & Dad. I hope they like it and thought this would be something they can keep.

I have used All Stampin up supplies except for the white flower and pink rose which are from Bizzy Becs online store.
The colours I have used are Not quite navy, kraft, bashful blue and pretty in pink. I used the watercolour vine roller which you cant really see, and the sentiment is from close as a memory $35.95 and includes 4 stamps. The ribbon is pretty in pink taffeta and the little buckle is from the hodgepodge hardware. Contact me if you would like to purchase any of the items you see

Great Friend

Last night I went into the city for dinner for my friend Marketta's birthday, we all went to Harbour town Hotel which is right literally under that big ferris wheel in Melbourne! It was so great to catch up with my girlfriends there are 7 of us that all went to highschool together so we have all been friends since we were 14 and we are now 28! 3 of us have kids 2 are building houses in serious relationships and the other two are enjoying singleton life playing the field LOL. Its a really big deal when all 7 of us get together, normally 1 or two cant make it but on Monday we decided to all meet in the city for dinner and so we did! 2 live in Bacchus Marsh, 1 in Melton, 2 in Geelong and 2 in the city so you can see why it is sometimes hard to all be there. Anyway dinner was lovely. So anyway I made a card yesterday for my friend and here it is below, I scored the very vanilla, it looks soo effective I seen this on a birthday card Keesh sent me. I have used two new set from the spring mini Great friend and Gallery. Hope you like & Just a reminder I have a class on Sunday with some spots left so contact me if you would like to attend.
